What's happening @ First B

Corporate life focuses on things like worship, praise, evangelism, preaching, exhortation and teaching. Community life focuses on things like friendships, serving, fellowship, mentoring and caring. In corporate life we celebrate as a whole; in community life we connect one-on-one. In corporate life we worship in a crowd; in community life we work relationally, as friends.

To carry out meaningful expressions of love for God and love for people, it is important for each of us to participate regularly in both corporate life and community life.

First B has many ways to reach out and help during difficult times. We have grief materials available in the church office, grief small group studies and counseling with someone in our Pastoral staff.

Grief is a journey, one that few of us would choose and one that catches many of us unprepared for the hardships and obstacles of the road.  Walk through the experience of grief, and find your healing along the way.  First B’s Grieving Class will begin Thursday, September 17th, 12pm-1pm in the Sitting Room (downstairs) led by Anne Stalker.

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

                                                                                                                     - Psalm 34:18
